Corporate travel is one of the most complex and least standardized categories in procurement. Even basic concepts—such as what constitutes a “transaction”—vary widely across suppliers, despite the fact that most fees are transaction-based. Travel Management Companies (TMCs) can provide useful support in areas such as airline and hotel sourcing. However, TMCs are part of the supplier ecosystem and typically receive commissions or incentives from travel providers. PTC operates independently. We do not receive commissions from suppliers, which allows us to provide completely unbiased advice. Our consulting practice focuses on areas where independence matters most—TMC sourcing, contract auditing, and evaluating whether travel programs should be outsourced or brought in-house.

Most engagements are priced on a fixed project basis, not hourly. Each project is governed by a detailed Service Level Agreement outlining clear milestones, deliverables and timelines—ensuring transparency, accountability and predictable costs.
